Professional Experience
Jeremy P. Bendler is the founder and owner of Bendler & Company, PC, in Bethesda, Maryland. Mr. Bendler is CoDirector of the Tax and Accounting Group. He also heads the Forensic Accounting team and provides Business Valuation Services. Mr. Bendler’s expertise includes: (a) tax planning, (b) tax and financial accounting, (c) forensic accounting, (d) fraud examinations, (e) business valuations, (f) business transactions, (g) tax audit support and counseling (h) succession planning.

Mr. Bendler provides clients with a level of personal attention rare in the industry and excels at providing a broad range of accounting services and analysis. By being responsive and taking a proactive approach to accounting and tax planning, he has helped his clients save time and money and in the process built close relationships with them, taking Bendler & Company, PC to a new level of partner-client rapport. In addition, one of Mr. Bendler’s specialized areas of expertise is in assisting clients make better use of technology. Mr. Bendler also has a proven track record of helping clients quickly and effectively implements new software into their operations with continued guidance, training, and support.

Mr. Bendler fills his role of trusted tax and accounting advisor to professional service firms in the Washington DC metropolitan area. Mr. Bendler advises business owners on topics such as choice of proper business entity, maximizing fringe benefits to owners, financial accounting requirements, income tax reporting, and internal controls. By taking a proactive approach to business advising Mr. Bendler has taken part in the growth of numerous professional service firms in the area including medical practices, law firms, architecture/engineering groups, public relations firms and consulting groups. Mr. Bendler’s strong foundations in tax and financial accounting are an asset to the firms he works with. Proactive analysis and creative solutions to client’s challenges set Mr. Bendler apart.

In addition to being licensed as a Certified Public Accountant (C.P.A.), Mr. Bendler holds an accreditation in Business Valuation (ABV) from the American Institute of C.P.A.’s. The ABV designation is granted exclusively to a premier group of CPAs who have been tested and are experienced with the technical skills and business acumen necessary to provide business valuation for a wide variety of purposes. Mr. Bendler has used his expertise in business valuation to plan and execute corporate mergers and buyouts, determine the value of assets and liabilities for a divorce settlement, develop estate and plans and assist lawyers in litigation including providing expert witness testimony.

Mr. Bendler earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Fisheries Biology from Virginia Polytechnic Institute in Blacksburg, Virginia.
Mr. Bendler has an Associate of Applied Science in Accounting from Montgomery College in Rockville Maryland, with Honors.
Mr. Bendler continues his education in the fields of accounting, taxation, valuation, and fraud investigation-related topics through annual extensive course study.
